Kevin Rakin, M.B.A.
Mr Rakin has been actively involved in the biotechnology industry since 1990. He is currently CEO and Chairman of the Board of Advanced BioHealing, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on the development and marketing of cell-based and tissue-engineered products. Previously, he was co-founder, President & CEO of Genaissance Pharmaceuticals, Inc, a leading pharmacogenomics company. Mr Rakin serves on the boards of Vion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Ipsogen SAS. He is also an advisor to Canaan Partners and serves on the CEO’s Council of Red Abbey Venture Partners. Mr. Rakin is past Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Connecticut United for Research Excellence and is a member of the state of Connecticut’s Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee. Joseph J. Catino, Ph.D.
Dr. Catino has worked for 28 years at major pharmaceutical companies, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Bayer HealthCare. He has extensive executive experience and frequently represented Bayer at investor conferences, press conferences and health care conferences. He successfully established an oncology spin-out company from Bayer, now located in San Francisco. Prior to working at Bayer HealthCare, Dr. Catino established an oncology discovery program at Schering-Plough Corporation where he was Senior Director and Distinguished Research Fellow. Prior to Schering-Plough, Dr. Catino worked in the Research Institute of Bristol Myers. Dr. Catino is the President and CEO of Helix Therapeutics, LLC.

Peter M. Glazer, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Glazer is a Professor and Chair of Therapeutic Radiology and Professor of Genetics at Yale University. He has been a leader in the field of targeted DNA repair, using sequence-specific DNA binding molecules and has received a number of research awards in recognition of his work including awards from the Radiation Research Society and the Leukemia Society of America. Dr. Glazer is the author of over 100 scientific papers and holds key targeted DNA repair patents. He is also the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of Helix Therapeutics.

Russel Tweeddale, M.B.A.:
Mr. Tweeddale is Managing Director of Investments at Connecticut Innovations. Over the past 20 years, he has led CI's investments in more than 50 companies, including Achillion Pharmaceuticals, BioPlexus, Genaissance Pharmaceuticals, Ipsogen, Affomix Corporation and Cardiopulmonary Corporation. Russell has over 25 years of experience in economic and venture analysis. He was previously with Scientific Leasing, the Robert E. Nolan Co. and United Technologies Corp. He also serves on the board of Ipsogen Inc. and is a board observer of Ipsogen SA, parent of Ipsogen Inc., and Affomix.
